Another New Paranormal Show

Did anyone else see the new paranormal show on a&e tv called "Extreme Paranormal" tonite? Three guys use provoking and rituals to get responses from the spirits. I think they are more nutsy than gutsy......... but then I'm into being more respectful to the spirits even if they were prisoners. Use of the "jacobs ladder" and re-enactment was interesting. I would like to hear what anyone else thought about it. So far I like it better than paranormal state.

I like the Jacobs Ladder approach. I'm not a fan of the occult / provoking side of things. Not sure if I dug the show at all.

I'm not into the occult either and think these guys are looking for trouble. Still......my curiosity wins and I will watch another show to see what ..if anything.. happens to them. Did you recognize the mike thing they used to amplify receiving of evps...other sounds..?????? Dish thing? Have you made one or used one?

That's a parabolic microphone, they're pretty expensive, but you can make some punk-rock versions. I'll put it on the nerd list.

I seen the show last night and when they started the weird stuff i stopped watching. I am not into the way they were doing things, I would rather be more respectful of the spirits and what happened to them. I would rather seek the help of the spirits in the investigation not treating them the way those guys do. I won't be watching the show anymore, to weird for me.

I agree.. I like to respect the spirits. Never liked the idea of provocation, but some of the stuff they did.. was way out there. I'll probably still keep watching it though, might have a good technique or new piece of equipment. I won't be doing any of the occult stuff though.. nope.. not me.

I like the jacobs ladder, the parabolic microphone, and the thermal camera any other toys you see let me know. I won't be watching much in the future but will check in from time to time.

A new Ghost Lab showed tonight as well as last week's show. They come across as very professional which is good for folks to see. Big difference from last night's show of the Extreme paranormal guys. They did get a personal response from their provoking. That is one reason I won't do it. The other is I want to show respect to the spirits same as you guys. There are so few paranormal programs on tv so I try to watch as many as possible. I find things that I will and will not do on an investigation (such as occult). Not watching the re-runs of Paranormal State though since most of those deal with demonic behaviors and I like to steer clear of that.

Janice.. I think Ghost Lab is pretty good too. I agree on the provoking and the concept of respecting the dead. I like how ghost lab really tries to cover the area with sweeps (photographs and EMF) when paranormal activity increases.
