what do you suppose the possibillity of aliens actually mining on the moon are? I'm watching a show talking about fusion reactions and how helium 3 is pretty much the Ideal material for fusion reactions and they are saying that they suspect like 100 million tons of it are on the moon but there is hardly any on earth this information combined with statements made by several astronaughts saying that there are aliens on the dark side of the moon along with rumors that the reason they quit the apollo program had to do with aliens on the moon. well it at least raises the question that it could be possible....
Helium 3 is about the coolest thing to come up in a long time as far as new energy resource. The prospects are awesome.. but to me.. it's going to lead to who will control the massive amounts of helium 3 out there. It always comes down to money in the end unfortunately. I think it's interesting that talk about 'moon-bases' for a departure point for Mars exploration.. could just be code for 'moon-bases' for our strip mining operation on the moon plan before Russia or China gets there first. Talk about extreme cool prospects with equal amount controversy and FUD.
So.. aliens on the dark side of the moon.. possibly mining helium 3? I think they have better things to do. Helium 3 is apparently 'everywhere' in space.. solar dust if I remember correctly. The moon is just the closet place for us to find it.. since it bounces off our atmosphere.

[disclaimer: my knowledge of this is based off of two shows on Discovery.. and Google.. heh.. take it with a pinch of Helium 3]
So then the Stargate Project is real then and it is under cheynne mountain
and elite teams of military are going to other planets as we speak. Way to cool.
Seriously this stuff is very cool even though i don't completely understand it
yeah they say theres enough helium 3 on the moon to power earth for 1000 years although some say its morally wrong to mine it off of the moon..... damn tree huggers anyway lol
I think mining the moon would in the long run be a dangerous prospect. The moon is perfectly balanced with our planet to provide constant and tolerable tides and currents. If the mass of the moon was lessened over time by mining, is it possible that this could affect the Earth's ecosphere?
not to mention the tidal forces of the oceans
The miniscule differences we would make by taking minerals out of the crust would not make a difference to the mass of the moon to cause a change.
They can have that nasty Blue cheese gross !!!!!!!!!!!
beside the man in the moon won't have much of a place to call home would he
Smokey, I think I'd have to disagree. While over the short run, perhaps we would have very little impact. But let's say we mine the moon for a 1000 years like Python mentioned above. With humanity's exponentially growing demand for energy reserves we could very well take a very large mass from the moon. Plus what do we really know about how gravity field interact between planets and moons. We don't even know what gravity IS or how to produce it. We only know what it does. So to say that the process would be insignificant due to the small mass changes, might be a tad premature.
Just my thought....hell, helium is lighter than air right? Maybe we'll make the moon heavier by removing it.
The man in the moon can move to the suburbs just like everyone else, now's a good time to buy with all the foreclosures.
