 "My new pet kitten"...
...is what I named my new pet scorpion.

Hasn't even attempted to sting me yet, I guess it figures it's pinch does the job. Can't blame it, it's like having someone pinch your finger with a pair of pliers. Anyone else keep weird pets (my other pet is a lizard btw) The dude with the beard. |

LOL I thought only my sons had weird pets. They have had lizards, wind scorpions, cray fish,just to mention a few. If they could have caught a tarantula when we visited Arizona they would have. Sorry dude...... but that is an ugly scarey looking pet.

Those are actually Red claw scorpions, close to the emperor but not the same.
Red claw scorpion is Pandinus cavimanus, and emperor scorpion is Pandinus imperator The dude with the beard. |

His name is actually "The Dude" or "Dude" for short. That started with my girlfriend and I unable to agree on a name for him, and at the time of getting him I was on a pretty big, "The Big Lebowski" kick. Which resulted in me always calling him "Dude" or "El Duderino" etc, finally we just decided to name him "The Dude"; cause he was a lot like Jeff Bridges character in that movie.. sat around a lot, and didn't do a whole lot.
