Hi-Def Camcorder
OK, so I am thinking of picking up a Sony Hi-Def camcorder. I was curious if anyone has heard of any other groups using this technology? I have upgraded my television to a 61" Samsung HDTV and thought this camcorder would be a great addition to our arsenal. LOL Let me know your thoughts!

Hey Smokey
That sounds cool. One thing to keep in mind is data storage. I've been working on a project where we're shooting in HiDef, and it's 1GB/minute for storage. So with HiDef, you eat a lot of disk. hanji Blog: MTGhostHunter.com Twitter: @mtghosthunter Game Cameras |

RE: Hi-Def Camcorder
This camera is the new 120GB HD camera. That would suck to only have 2hrs of video.

RE: Hi-Def Camcorder
The 1GB/minute might be related to our format though. I would try to find some specs or reviews online.

RE: Hi-Def Camcorder
You were right! From 25 -85 minutes in Hi-Def. In full 1080p you only get 25 minutes of recording time.

RE: Hi-Def Camcorder
Yeah.. HD eats up the disk. Our project is about half-shot, and we have 1.3TB of video data already.
