I think something cheaper/smaller is better. You'd need to power the speaker or wire the output to a jack. I think a general radio shack radio is the best way to go. I'm looking into a few options now for some kits where we can dial in the band of frequencies, adjust the rate and to add some randomness to the mix.

Key Port Paranormal says you can hack Radio Shack 12-588. Going in the morning to see if they have that one available. Wish me luck.

Got the radio yesterday. The instructions looks simple enough for me.
On your facebook video of the evp it sounds like a clicking noise.....is that another piece of equipment you're using?

So how is that project going?

The clicking sound is the sound it makes as it changes channels. Other 'better' quality radios will not do this, but it's something that this guys is known to do.

The flashing in the video is a strobing bike light. I took out the normal LEDs and replaced them with IR LEDs.

I did the hacking on my radio. Not sure what to expect. Do you hear the stations as they scan..... I can. If so then are you just looking for when you ask a question for the word to come up during the scan...to be something that will be an answer? Went on an investigation last night here in Dillon at an anonymous site. Didn't get a chance to try it since she needed us to leave earlier than i had hoped. She wants us back so am going to try it then. Had lots of personal experiences and orbs....... still checking the evidence. Heard some female voices....disembodied voice but not sure if caught on recorder. Will have to let you know what we found.
