Other paranormal anomalies.

I made this, specifically about shadow people; and whether you believe, or believe they are a part of the entire ghostly paranormal field or not. Then I realized there could be more additions to this question, so left it open.

I'm mostly curious about things that could relate to what we at TSI investigate, rather than say, U.F.O. phenomena, sasquatch, Nessie, etc.

In browsing other paranormal forums, shadow people often come up. If you don't know what they are, it's basically what looks like a person, except made of shadow. Varying reports of them being free standing, in the middle of a room or doorway, verses moving across walls, floors, ceilings as a normal shadow would. Sometimes they are reported to have red glowing eyes, usually from what I can tell, that is generally reported with the free standing and moving shadow people, rather than the ones that skitter across a wall.


I'm not sure what I believe about these. I know we've caught miscellaneous shadows on film, and picture. But I don't recall any that looked like a person.

As far as the ones that skitter across floors walls and ceilings, I think they are just shadows. Living on a busy street most my childhood has exposed me to all kinds of crazy shadows coming across your wall at night as cars drive by. You don't always see the light from the traffic driving by, but it sure does do a lot of interesting things with any trees, or other objects outside that are casting shadows through the window. And can see how one of these moving across the room quickly could be mistakenly taken as the shape of a person, especially if it startled someone.

I just don't know what to think of the "people" that seem to be made up of shadows, and haven't really connected them with supposed haunted places. Does anyone else know anything of these?

I have heard that some Native Americans believe that showdow ghosts are not of this world and are evil spirits...this would mean that they aren't like other "ghosts" or anything that TSI has investigated before.

I can't remember where I had heard that from. I believe Erik knows more about it. I'll check with him. Then again, I could probably just be confusing this with something else.

Don't know what they are. My experience was in the creepy haunted house I used to live in. While on the cpu, I felt uneasy, looked behind me to see a shadow move from corner behind me along top of wall past the window, along the top of the wall in front and to the side of me (I was in an alcove type of thing), along the top of the next wall and into the closet. I looked out the window real fast to see if anyone was out there messing around and there was no cars coming or going and no one on the street. It didn't have a form. i turned off the cpu and beat it out of there. Told my son about it and he said he had seen the shadow on the same closet door but in the form of a man. He looked out the window to see if someone was standing there to cause the shadow and remembered that his room was on the second floor. He looked back and the shadow was gone. His impression was that it was evil.

from what we have learned is that shaddow people is how they manifest. it does take them as much engery that way. if you listen to jason and grant that is there explation

Manly around holidays like Christmas, and halloween. but see them around my home when my wife is upset or not feeling well, it almost seems they are attached to her or she is some how making them appear without her knowing it. She has told me that see can see dead people but does not make eye contact with them. Enough weird things have happened in my house to believe she is able to detect spirits.

perhaps she is creating them herself or they could be feeding off of the negative energy emitted when she is upset so they can then manifest themselves.

my wife will never go on any ghost tours or investigations, she is afraid bad spirits will come and she doesn't want the abilty she has. But since i have been ghost hunting I have been able to sense more things than i use to be able to, almost to the point I can sense when a spirit is near by.
I think, but i see shadows moving and people moving that are not there. I can even get my wife to see them as well.

I can truly sympathize with your wife. For the longest time I would tell myself it was all in my head rather than accept it to be something paranormal. Stuff didn't go away inspite of my pretense. That is when I decided to find out more about the paranormal so that I could feel more in control. I am also very afraid of the bad spirits. I was scared when we just went to the Indian School in BC, Ut because we both could feel bad energy. Since I only brought my dig. camera and we weren't able to go inside for evp work, I have to admit that I just handed the camera over to my son to take the pics. I did get out of the car and walk around with him holding the flashlight, but he was the one willing to go up to the open windows and take pics. When we went to the cemetary right after the school, I felt less negativity and took the pics there. I told myself if I was going to be a ghost hunter I had to buck up, so we went back to the school. Same strong feeling of negativity....but I remembered something I had read about "sealing in your energy @ the same time sealing out negativity so I "sealed myself" off and got on with the work at hand. Glad we did because we got pics of what looks like ectoplasmic mist.
As far as bad spirits go, I feel that knowledge is a good weapon so I am reading info from varying sources about protection from and getting rid of negative entities.

Saint micheal's prayer is a good standard it is used in many exercisms I keep it close to me if i feel I needed it I will say it out loud and let the spirits know it is time to back off of me.
