Just bought K-II EMF Meter

Hello All

I just bought a K-II EMF Meter on eBay. I saw this used a few times on Ghost Hunters, and thought it might be interesting to pick up something different.

I'd like to get something digital in the next few months as well (822-A EMF Gaussmeter) to compliment this.

There is no difference in how EMF detectors work. They all pick up the same fields. The difference is that some display the field in analog or digital. The analog is just a standard detector with a needle that points to readings. The digital comes in several different detectors. There are digital read out detectors which only display the field strength and then there are the digital range detectors that display with different colors the range of strength of a signal. The K-II is the later, but all EMF detect the same field at close to the same sensitivity.

I understand the detector detecting the same EMF field, the but the output presentation is different.

Standard digital gives you a more accurate reading (exact value of the field), etc. The K-II presents it in 'ranges' using light flashes to show what range it falls in. The idea that interested me was the ability to trip the lights with what appears to be communication. The show that caught my eye with this is the Ghost Hunters episode at the Manson murder house. They were able to ask two flicks for 'yes' and one flick for 'no'. The EMF meter would spike very fast to 1.5 to 2.5 milligauss and back to 0 depending on the answer.

What got me was the infared themometer that was going down. It is a contact thermometer, not ambient air temp.

I was watching Ghost Hunters tonight and they were using the K2 EMF meter to try and communicate with the spirits at the hotel and asked the spirits to walk in front of it to show they were there. Is this really possible, does it really indicate the present of a spirit, and can you real use it as evidence that is set down in the paranoraml community?
I am not talking according to science but according to what is the latest thoughts in the paranormal community. Does everyone take this as being legit or not in the paranormal community

Sounds like they are using the meter like an electronic dowsing rob.

Yeah if we ever use it like that I want a video camera on it all the time, to review it later. Don't know if we could use it as evidence
