Daly Mansion

Our investigation of the Daly mansion began on March 19th, 2005 at 10:00 p.m.
We arrived at the front gate to the Daly Mansion at 9:30 p.m. after we met newcomer to our Tortured Souls Investigations group Adam Rush at the Town Pump in Florence Montana. When we arrived at the front Gate to the Daly Mansion, we waited for 30 minutes for the Curator to arrive. We got out and walked around a bit and remarked at how old the front gate looked and wondered if the big trees were planted when the house was built.
The front gate was opened for us at 10:00 p.m. and we drove down the long path that led to the house, we pulled around to the back of the house and entered the Daly Mansion. We were given a tour of the Mansion for 30 minutes. At 10:40 p.m. we setup the first night vision camera in the living room, it is here there is a picture that Mrs. Daly apparently only wanted on one wall, so we had it moved to a wall to the left side of the room. We then placed the night vision camera so it would show where the picture had been hanging and where it was hanging now. We then shut off the lights and shut the doors so no one would go into that room.
We then went up stairs to the 2nd floor sitting room and setup the second night vision camera in the sitting room facing the staircase coming up from the foyer. We couldn't set it up in Mrs. Daly's bedroom because there wasn't any plug in s for the camera and the VCR, so we choose the sitting room itself. After we got it running myself, Cody, and Dora went up to the third floor, While my fathers video camera he was caring all of a sudden wouldn't work, he checked it out with Adam and found it to be in perfect working order. My dad then went up to the third floor where Cody, Adam, Dora, and myself were. As soon as my dad got to the top of the stairs his video camera began to work like nothing had ever happened. He then placed it on a box that was sitting on top of a ping-pong table and faced it down a small hallway on the left side of the Billiard room on the third floor. He then walked over to the lead glass window and looked outside allowing the video camera to roll unattended. Myself and, Cody walked down a small hall way on the left side of the Billiards room where my dad had his video camera running, as we walked down the hall a small green Orb came out of the wall behind us and changed height several times and followed us down the hall way. This Orb was not seen at the time by the naked eye, but was seen on the replay of the videotape.
My dad then walked over and picked up the video camera and continued his investigation with his team partner Adam Rush. We then walked down to the end of the hall way, opened the door to our right and a deep sadness over came me, and a feeling that I needed to leave this room. So we walked back down to the Second floor and went down to the first floor. I proceeded to the kitchen, and Adam teamed up with me, and Cody and went back up to the second floor and went to Mrs. Daly's bedroom to take some photos and get some EMF readings.
As they came up the front stair case to the second floor sitting room where the second night vision camera picked them coming up the stairs and heading down the hall way to Mrs. Daly's bed room. As soon as we passed from sight a shadow walked in front of the night vision camera from left to right in the direction of Mrs. Daly's bedroom. Three minutes later two more shadows walked in front of the night vision camera also headed in the same direction as the first shadow.
While Cody and I were in Mrs. Daly's bedroom we asked a couple of question on the digital recorder, and directly over the middle of the bed they got an EMF reading off the scale and then I could smell some roses even though there wasn't any cut flowers in the house at the time. While we were in Mrs. Daly's bedroom we took some pictures and recorded a few Orbs in some of the photos.
Adam Rush the newest member of TSI joined Cody and myself up stairs, and Adam captured several amassing pictures with Orbs moving in them. Adam took pictures in Mrs. Daly's bedroom, and in the hallway on the second floor, and in the sitting room where most of the paranormal activity seemed to be happening. The group then went back up to the third floor and took several pictures in the hallways and did a couple of EVP's with no luck While my dad waited down in the Kitchen with Dora talking about ghost stories.
Adam join my dad and Dora in the kitchen and she asked us how we got started in the ghost hunting business, Adam told her that he got a call from his friends son that being me and said ok. He told her about that we were doing this since 2001 and talked about the different kinds of haunting and the different types of ghostly energy that is associated with paranormal activity.
Cody and myself continued our investigation with Adam in the basement where they heard several noises that they chalked up to the old pipes in the house. We then went to the music room and experienced several cold spots and they could see there breathe despite it being 58' in the room at the time.
We then collected the night vision camera from upstairs and from the picture room; put away all of our equipment, and myself and Cody went through the house turning off any lights that might be on. We concluded our investigation of the Daly Mansion at 1:00 a.m. Sunday Morning on the 20th of March 2005.
THE EVIDENCE
In the picture room (living room) we set our first night vision camera, and we caught on video eight different times on tape orbs of unexplainable origin. We have two rules that orbs phenomenon have to adhere to be considered legitimate paranormal activity. Rule #1 the Orb has to have a flight path of it's own design, what I mean by that is a dust particle will lazily float by the video camera in one direction. A legitimate Orb of paranormal origin will take a varied flight path changing directions at any moment. Rule #2 is that for an Orb to be considered it has to generate it's own light source, and not reflect light from a camera flash or flashlight.
We found eight different times on the video where Orbs display both of these rules, there are also plenty of dust particles in the video but they can be spotted easily and disallowed as a false positive.
The other area where we caught Orb activity that is of true paranormal activity is on the third floor in the billiard room where I set my digital video camera on a box and pointed it to a hallway to the west. I then walked to the big window to look outside when we got back home and reviewed the footage there is two orbs from different direction that seem to circle around each other and disappear back into thin air and the wall. Orb 1 came out of thin air and circled around for a few seconds and then disappeared again. Orb 2 came out of the wall circled around orb 1 and disappeared back into the wall where in entered the room.
On the second floor sitting room we set up a night vision camera and caught a couple of orbs that can be considered legitimate, but the real evidence is of two shadows that pass in front of the night vision camera headed in the direction of Mrs. Daly's bedroom. All people in the house were accounted for at the time of the shadows crossing the night vision cameras. There is furniture in the room and it is all against the wall making it impossible for anyone to get behind the camera without being seen by the camera. These shadows we deem as legitimate paranormal phenomenon since no one in the house could have made them.
Our team took pictures through out the house and several pictures that Investigator Adam Rush took we deem as true Orb activity. In Mrs. Daly's bedroom, the second floor sitting room, and up stairs on the third floor in the billiard room and in the third floor hallway, as well as on the main floor music room.
We are hoping to do several follow up investigations to verify our findings that the Daly Mansion in Hamilton, Montana. Does indeed have legitimate paranormal activity. We are hoping to go back later in May, and on Mrs. Daly's birthday in September.
